Residential Program

The residential program begins in the fall semester. Full-time students earn the degree in two years by taking three courses per semester over four semesters. Part-time students can earn the degree at their own pace. The entering cohort of residential graduate students ranges typically from 15 to 20 students.

Many residential students say they made the decision to attend the University of Mississippi the day they visited the campus. Named by Southern Living as one of the South’s Most Beautiful Colleges, some might say the campus and welcoming student body is as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside.

The program offers small class sizes that give students the opportunity to forge friendships with each other and their professors, building strong relationships that last well after graduation. Faculty and staff personally know many of the leading industry professionals in the country. Some often visit the school to share their insights. Together, they work to help students succeed.

The university offers countless opportunities for residential students to become involved in clubs and organizations. The campus is also home to the Ole Miss Rebels, and students join a family of fans who regularly return home for one of the most notable sports-related social gatherings in the country – tailgating in the Grove. When you become an Ole Miss student, you gain friends for life. In fact, you may never want to leave.

The priority deadline to apply is February 1, 2023 and the final deadline is March 15, 2023.
